This time, the side story is a murder mystery, Stephanie Laurens couldn't have written it better than this. What's funny is Lucifer running away from the thing he feared the most only to find it where he ran to, just like in Demon's case but there are certain differences. This novel has all faces love especially how it is demonstrated. The title is very fitting and the way Lucifer and Phyllida fell in love caught them unawares, like in most romance novels, lust is easily begotten unlike love. There are always fear and uncertainty but characters still face it head on. The plot is fluid, characters are constant and developing, the writer outdid herself in descriptive writing. Phyllida was really stubborn but sometimes to the point of ignorance and declaring her independence, that's where Lucifer came in and buffered that independent streak. I liked the way she made adjustments, to be cared for rather being the one who cared for others. At last the last member of the Bar Cynster is married and now all of them are in the standing on the same ground. Of course, a Cynster novel isn't complete without the appearance of the clan, including Chillingworth, an honorary member, which I'm to read next. ( )amazing. I love Stephanie Laurens and all the Cynsters. I recommend this to anybody who likes regency romance. In Short: Overall not a bad series, although I wouldn't recommend reading them back to back. For a full review: http://tickettoanywhere.blogspot.com/... of-bodice-rippers-review-of-six.html Alastair, better known as Lucifer, is the last of the Bar Cynster to marry. Determined not to befall the same fate as his relatives, he leaves for the country and runs straight into Phyllida Tallent - and, of course, love. Good but unmemorable as a story. Lucifer's offering has a lot more sex than many of the other books, which is saying something considering the books are very much about the sex. Unlike some of the earlier Cynster books, this one is not very good in that the story does not stay with you after reading it. This is the first tbook in the decline of Stephanie Laurens' writing style. The Cynster series very rapidly degenerates into unreadable pap after this book. brak recenzji | dodaj recenzję

Sensuality: 8
Regency rake Alasdair Reginald Cynster, better known as Lucifer, is determined to avoid the epidemic of marriage that has claimed the rest of his male relatives. He leaves London for the Devon countryside and a quiet visit with an elderly friend, but gets the shock of his life when he stumbles on his friend's body, is coshed on the head by an unknown assailant, and wakes to find himself being tended by the lovely Phyllida Tallent. Entranced by the beautiful lady and her quick mind, Lucifer soon finds himself conspiring with Phyllida to solve the murder even as he grows daily more involved in the lives of the residents of Colyton. For her part, Phyllida had resigned herself to choosing a suitor from the unprepossessing noblemen living in and about Colyton. The sophisticated, handsome Lucifer takes her by surprise and shakes the foundations of her world. Neither Lucifer nor the willful Phyllida had planned to fall in love, but destiny clearly intends otherwise. If the unknown murderer has his way, however, neither of the two will live to enjoy a happy ending to their tale.
Stephanie Laurens deftly combines a strong mystery plot with a breathtaking love story in this, the latest Bar Cynster story. Lucifer has the charm, character, and powerful personality that readers adore in the Cynster men, while Phyllida perfectly balances him with quick wit, courage, and a strong will of her own. All About Love is sure to be a hit with devoted fans and new readers alike.--Lois Faye Dyer
