O mnieI'm a librarian at a small state university and a member of two book clubs, one remotely (the other members are 2000+ miles away, where I used to live). I use LibraryThing to track the books I've read, starting in January 2007, plus there are some books included from the book club I've belonged to since autumn 2001.

My name is Dawn and I am a librarian and the host of Toronto Public Library’s online book club: Book Buzz and a fellow LibraryThing member.
This month we are reading The Time Traveler’s Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger I noticed that you include The Time Traveler’s Wife in your library and that you gave it a 5-star review. I’d just like to invite you to visit us and share your thoughts about Niffenegger’s book. It’s a friendly easy-going book club with over 800 members and we are always looking for new points of view.
We will also be hosting a chat with the author. You can interact live, online with Audrey Niffenegger on Book Buzz:
Monday, December 15, 2008. 7-8 pm (Toronto time)
If you are interested, visit us at http://bookbuzz.torontopubliclibrary.ca .
Thank-you for your time,
Dawn

Nice graduation gift! "Goodbye to a River" is one of my absolute favorite books. I've been looking for books on the same kind of themes - vaguely naturalist/historical and pondering.

The instructions below are for Firefox, but I don't think that Internet Explorer differs at all.
Step 1: Visit www.maploco.com; choose you display style (using the drop-down list); choose your dot style (using the drop-down lists); press the 'Create it!' button.
Step 2: You now see a set of three boxes with HTML code below the 'Create it!' button. The information you need is in the top box labeled 'Copy & Paste this code into your profile or site!'. Highlight the entire contents of the box. (You will need to scroll down a little.) Copy this using one of [ctrl]-[c]; right-click - Copy; or Edit>Copy from the menu.
Step 3: Return to your Profile page. You can now adjust how your page is configured by clicking on 'Edit profile/account settings' at the top right. The code that you've copied can now be pasted into the 'About my library' box. ([ctrl]-[v]; right-click - paste; or Edit>Paste from the menu.) If you want, you can get rid of the <br> bits and replace them with carriage returns.
Step 4: Once all your other display options are chosen, press the 'Save changes' button at the bottom of the screen. Et voila!
Hope that helps. If you still have problems, get back to me.
