GrupyRomance - from historical to contemporary, We Seek Him Here ...

O mnieI try to review some of the stuff I read on my blog (see link below).

O mojej biblioteceI'm currently on a huge romance kick but I also like some fantasy, science fiction, and even the occasional pulpy pop fiction novel.

My ratings system is:
1 star = hated it
2 stars = didn't like it
3 stars = liked it
4 stars = really liked it
5 stars = loved it

katybear, I have to say I am happy for your tip on passing the time while nursing. We are trying for baby #2 and I was already dreading the midnight nursing sessions. Haha Now I can look forward to them.
katybear, I looked through my books and have no extra copies of Hunter's books. I must already have given it away. Sorry.
katybear, I think I have an extra copy of one of the books. I will look later and send it to you. I think your address is on bookmooch.
Thank you for the information, they have very recently updated the web site. I was just there. Thanks again.
I probably will eventually read most if not all of Kleypas books, but right now I have my heart set on Christine Feehans Dark-Carpathians series (approx 16 books). So other than a individual book now & again, I think the next month is spoken for as far a series, but I will keep the Bow Street series on my ever growning TBR list. Thanks again.
katy - last month during the book discussion, you and a couple others recommended 'Devil In Winter' and the Wallflower series, I am reading the series (in order), I loved DIW. The intro to Cam was great and I didn't get my hopes up that he would fall for Daisy because I already knew he needed to be with Amelia. Almost done with 'Scandal in Spring' but I agree, DIW is the best of the series. A great recommendation - Thanks!
Hi Katy, it's nice to meet a fellow North Texan on LT! Yes, I know about the HPB there. I just don't get a chance to go down there very often. I'll be there this Saturday though. My husband finally has a Sat off that coincides with McKinny Trade Days. We plan to spend the day down there. Are you a member of bookmooch.com? If not you should check it out.

Thank you so very much. She was a rescued kitty barely as big as the palm of my hand. I've had her for over 10 years. She had many problems as her aged progressed. But as you say, she was a loving companion. My husband is self-employeed and works at home. He would have conversations with her and I swear by all that's holy, she would answer him. She will be sorely missed.
Hi....I was searching LT for info on "Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon" and found your thread on heroines that are less than physically perfect. I don't usually read romance novels, but found myself with nothing to read in a small airport with a small bookstore and picked up "Inappropriate Men" by Stacey Ballis. Hilarious! A heroine you can really cheer for. This book was passed around the office and almost everyone enjoyed it.

I've also heard that "Good in Bed" has a "plus-sized" heroine, but I have never read that one. Two friends have and they liked it.
No problem on sharing the Kenyon fanaticism LOL She's such a great writer. I love recommending her books and then hearing that people enjoyed them as much as I did.
I just read the rest of your reviews and they are all top notch! I'll have to stop by occasionally to keep track :-) I'm so glad you wound up liking the Kenyon stories. It's nice to share the ones you really love!
I also wanted to let you know I enjoyed your review of Blow Me Down. Very good!
Hehe, just saw the Blow Me Down review, great job.
I have to admit, after I played through Sid Meier's Pirates! a time or two I started playing characters. I was Horatio Hornblower once - when I would ONLY attack shipping that was at war with England (it took some serious discipline). I'm nerdy, I know, but it was fun. And reading your review made me wonder what I would do to play her (or Corbin) on Pirates! Geek alert! hehe
We just started a community for piratey things called Aboard the Jolly Roger. I think you get it if you search for 'pirate'. If not there's a link on my profile (can't quite figure out how to put it here just now...)

There's not much there yet, but we're hoping to find many more people with a deep love of all things pirate and swashbuckling.
