Another site of interest, just released in April, 2007: TwitterLit!



What is TwitterLit? Twice a day, at about 12:00 AM and 12:00PM GMT, I post the first line of a book, without the author's name or book title, but with a link (to Amazon.com) so you can see what book the line is from. Why? Because it's fun! A quick literary teaser for you twice daily. The posts are also available for subscription via RSS and Twitter.

Now, on to me: I'm the mother of two little girls and the author of Trying Neaira: The True Story of a Courtesan's Scandalous Life in Ancient Greece (Yale University Press, 2003: see http://www.tryingneaira.com). Of late--well, since 1996 when I first made a web site--my presence on the web has expanded and is quite out of control. I have a number of blogs, but the principle ones are http://www.book-blog.com (book reviews) and http://www.the-deblog.com ("observations from my subterranean lair," as I say). If you go to either you'll see links to my other sites.
