O mnieI write and illustrate books for children. That's my job. When I'm not doing that, I'm raising our own five children. My partner and I don't watch t.v. - we read. And read. And read.

O mojej biblioteceIt's big. currently @ 8,500 books, not counting my own home-made ones

Hi there! Couldn't resist popping by and saying "Hello". Thank you very much for writing the "Pure Dead" series, one of my favourites and also for having such nice covers for them! They look amazing on my bookcase.

Anyways I'm babbling, so I really should shut up now!

SONG OF A DREAM
By Sarojini Naidu

ONCE in the dream of a night I stood
Lone in the light of a magical wood,
Soul-deep in visions that poppy-like sprang;
And spirits of Truth were the birds that sang,
And spirits of Love were the stars that glowed,
And spirits of Peace were the streams that flowed
In that magical wood in the land of sleep.

Lone in the light of that magical grove,
I felt the stars of the spirits of Love
Gather and gleam round my delicate youth,
And I heard the song of the spirits of Truth;
To quench my longing I bent me low
By the streams of the spirits of Peace that flow
In that magical wood in the land of sleep.
Just saw on author connections and that you were on librarything, so I had to say that I love the pure dead series. Pure dead magic was the first book I ever wrote a review for when i
was 11:)
hi debi;
Ó Ceállaígh is the irish form of the surname kelly. as far as i know it has a very pompous direct tranlation: something like 'Son of warrior'.
i'm nearly afraid to start taking about "stoner", but i know exactly what you mean; i really wish there had been a real Bill stoner. i think i probably did sob a bit at the conclusion of his trist with the 'Co-ed'. what a fantastic book.
i've not read any alistair macleod, i'll have to watch out for him: i've not read nearly enough Scotish fiction, are there any others you'd recomend?
And we have one book in common I see....lol. Hope you enjoyed The Secret Life of Bees....I thought it was a wonderful read. Have you read her other one 'The Mermaid Chair'?
No probs...I hadn't even remembered I had sent you a message....lol. Still writing are you?
Kids in our family love your books.
