Thanks, Kendra. I really liked the recipes from Bryan Ayangolu's "125 Best Vegetarian Recipes". We like curries and such, so I will look up this one, too.
Here's something new I've been enjoying. I like roast root veggies, cauliflower, carrots, or mushrooms -any veggies really, but lately I've been adding a can (drained) of white kidney beans to the mix. Really good, especially if you use a lot of garlic.

Thanks, I've reserved both of those at my library. That way I can get a good look before buying. My cookbook cupboard is overflowing! I have one of the Moosewood books and I use it a lot too.

I see by your book selections that you are also interested in a vegetarian diet. Which of your many recipe books would you recommend? I am currently enjoying recipes from Dawn Blatner's [Flexitarian Diet].

I found your home through Leonard Cohen's [Book of Longing] and was delighted to see Louis de Bernieres' name listed in your favourite authors. [A Partisan's Daughter]is one I enjoyed so very much. I was sharing an elevator in a Vancouver hotel with a man from Serbia whose small talk included his memory of the summer heat there. Moments later, over my solitary lunch, I read in this book about the sticky melting pavement of Rosa's hometown. That coincidence cinched it for me...this is a book I will always love.
