O mnieI am a stay at home wife who worked for 23 years as an administrative assistant and now enjoy my freedom to read and pursue other hobbies. I love reading and have always had a book addiction. Ever since I was a kid I had my nose in a book. I have never listened to an audio book.

My husband and I are owned by 3 cavalier king charles spaniels (all from great breeders who have show dogs), and we have three Birman cats.

Hi Caroline

Thank you for the friend invite :)
Are you by chance a member of Amazon Vine?
That is where I got Moira.. and maybe the other book as well..

I am happy to "meet" you :)

Hi Caroline,

I just finished reading The Last Child and I just loved that book. It grabbed me from the first page. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Lisa
Thank you for your participation in my thread. Hope to see you there often
Thanks, Caroline! Lighthouses have interested me since I was a little girl. It's always a pleasure to meet a fellow lighthouse enthusiast!
Hi Caroline.....I'm not too far into the book yet, I've had alot of orders coming in (antique sales) and have been busy with that this past week.

So far the book seems really good....I hope to have some time soon where I can just sit and read for a good couple hours or so.....seems like whenever I pick up my book now, it's only a matter of minutes where I am so tired I fall asleep. I hate that!! I must have slept for 20 minutes last night while holding my book open in bed!!! LOL Oh well, I tried.

Anyway, so far the book does appear to be good!! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Caroline,

Thanks for stopping by my library and I'm very glad you enjoyed my review of LETHAL LEGACY. I was completely caught up in all the library history. And who, other than Linda, could come up with a mystery to take place there?

I just discovered Chris Grabenstein this year and I adore his John Ceepak series. Some folks I know who prefer strict DARK mysteries don't care so much for him, but I love his humor and the uniqueness of John Ceepak. I'm always on the lookout for uniqueness in my books. I interviewed Chris on my blog not too long ago. You should stop by sometime and check it out.

Thanks for the friend invite! Happy Reading!!
Hi Caroline, Glad to hear you enjoy my blog! I sure have fun writing it!

As to Pullman's books I only read the first one and there was nothing objectional to me as a Christian in that one. From what I've heard it is the third that is objectional and portrays an atheist worldview. But as I said I've only read the first one and actually found it quite boring. At the time I thought I'd probably go on to read the others but I find I have no interest in reading them. There are too many good books out there to waste time on the boring ones! I read a lot of fantasy and frankly I just don't think Pullman is a good author, regardless of his anti-Christian worldview.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Caroline. I am honored to be your new friend!

Diane
Hi Caroline - somehow I stumbled onto your library. I find that one site leads to three more, etc., etc. Anyway, I read your "bio" and saw that you have three Birmans, my absolute favorite breed. They are unfailingly sweet. We had one, and now have an elderly Siamese whose singular mission in life is to get outside, which leads to some interesting contortions exiting and entering our house. Enjoyed your library, too!

I see you live near Westborough,MA. my daughter was just up ther visiting her best friend from college and loved it. I went to college in Boston and I am a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan. My dorm was three blocks from Fenway Park so we went to games all the time.

Caroline - I see we do have alot of similar books or authors. I find in very interesting that you only gave the new Jodi Picoult book one star. I read the bookbut I didn't finish it because I thought it was so bad and usually I love her books.
cute puppies!!! i haven't read the new elizabeth strout book yet but it has received high ratings by all my top similiar library peeps! i actually haven't even gotten around to reading 'abide with me' yet, but plan to do so soon!
Hey Caroline, good to hear from you!

Thanks for the recommendations ~ I'll look for them....although I am running out of room to store new books ~ we have an antique cupboard full of books waiting to be read ~ I can't seem to stop buying them! LOL But they all eventually get read.

I would go to the library and check them out, but sometimes it takes me awhile to get through a book, as I have alot going on most of the time. We usually go to the used book store and buy there. Then we can turn in our paperbacks for credit on more books. I trade my hardbacks on BookMooch.

Have a great day!

~ Julie
Hi there! Thanks for accepting my friend request. I saw we had alot of books in common. The books you show that you are reading now look interesting. I'm reading an Advanced Reader's Copy of "The Richest Season"....it's pretty good. It reminds me of Anne Rivers Siddons or Anita Shreve...it's set on Pawley's Island, on the beach.

Have a great weekend!

~ Julie
Hi Caroline,

Thanks so much for your comment ... Hope you enjoy Black Out and I look forward to hearing back from you!

All the best,
L
Hi, Caroline: Thanks for adding me to your interesting library list and visiting my blog! I look forward to swapping "book" notes with you!

Happy Reading!
Jill
I am such a dunce. :-) I was trying to accept your friendship invitation, and think I hit the wrong option. Haha I am very happy to be among your friends, Caroline. I hope you have a good week.
Hi Carolyn,
Thank YOU for the friendship! I'm happy to hear you liked BEAUTIFUL LIES and hope you enjoy the rest of the journey in SLIVER.
All the best,
Lisa
Hello Caroline! It's great to "meet" you as well! And yes, LT is quite addicting. I have to make myself not visit too often, because I always find another book that I "need" to get! :) Happy Reading!

I love the photo on your profile. :-)Thank you for subscribing to my blog, Caroline. reader tools like Bloglines sure come in handy.

I agree, LibraryThing is addicting. I had fun entering my library into the database, going through all of the books in the house. I found some I didn't know my husband and I had.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
