Thanks for posting your review of Last Night in Montreal here! Much appreciated.

Emily
Noticed you liked She's Come Undone, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed young girl's downward spiral and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi toofondofbooks,
Just saw your very nice description of my book MISS ALCOTT'S E-MAIL and wanted to say thanks so much! I appreciate your kind words. Writing a book is an amazing experience but by far the best part is talking with readers and hearing what the book means to them.

All the best,
Kit Bakke
You are most welcome. I see your name on the boards all the time and I thought it was time to "formerly introduce myself".
Thanks, Dawn, that worked!

Dawn, I'll have to look what a wish list is, but Michael Connelly's "The Brass Verdict" would be on it.
Hi: I just wanted to let you know that you won my book giveaway on my blog: www.bookshipper.blogspot.com

Can you please send me your snail mail at: tina_avon(at)yahoo(dot)com

I will email it to the publicist at Hachette who will send you the books directly. Thanks. Tina
Dawn, I changed it so that you should be able to comment. Let me know if you are not able to. Thanks for leaving me a note about this, since others may have the same problem. Tara
You may have read the review already, but I loved Confessions of a Contractor. A really enjoyable read. Also, someone commented on the review that they saw Richard Murphy give a reading in LA a week ago and said he gave quite a performance. I am really looking forward to seeing him!
That gal from the NYT? Not a peep. But then I have no doubt it was deliberate, so she got the response she was looking for. Doesn't matter - after all, newspaper book sections are disappearing and we bloggers are taking over, haven't you heard? :)

I'm getting ready to start Confessions of a Contractor. I wasn't going to read it quite so quickly (I hate it when they wait until a week before the book is released to send out the ARCs), but the author is doing a booksigning locally the end of the month, and I'd like to read the book before I go see him. Maybe give away a signed copy, unless it's one I want to keep. I've got a couple of business trips later this month, which means airports and late-night hotel rooms, so I'll catch up on some reading then.

The commute book this week is "The Great Gatsby." I've found audiobooks are a great way to catch up on classics that I really should have read. They're much easier going than they are on paper, and it's a good way to split up my readng time. A bit flowery so far - I don't think I've read anything else by F Scott Fitzgerald, so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Take care,
Lisa
Dawn -
Just saw the message from you. I have to start checking LibraryThing more often.

What a great review, Dawn! I'll bet Phyllis Zimbler Miller will be really pleased with it. I'm glad it all worked out.

Take care,
~Lisa
THat's great, Dawn! I'm glad she made contact. She seems really nice and offered to send me the book even after I told her I couldn't read it with a 'deadline'. Let me know when you've got your review up so I can swing by and check it out!
Hello Dawn, I loved your review of my book, thank you so much. You taking the time to read and enjoy it is much appreciated. Please help me spread the word!

Cheers

Emmett
