O mojej biblioteceMostly fiction, esp. fantasy.
I also like books about cats, and I'm interested in travel writing and people all over the world, esp. Australian Aborigines and gypsies/romany.
I only add books I own, or want to get, not everything I've read.
No stars doesn't mean I didn't like it, if I thought it was awful, I wouldn't keep it or list it; I won't keep or list anything with less than two stars. I just haven't got around to rating them all.

Good luck with finding a librarian job. When a vacancy arises they'll be sure to see you are the best person for the job. :-)
Only one daughter is another booklover, you'll find her under the name of Rubbah on LT. Sadly, my youngest very rarely reads for pleasure!

I hope your work prospects soon brighten up. What sort of work are you looking for?

I love this site and the way that us Abeites keep bumping into each other. Quite a few books that you have recommended pop up on my pages. Generally they are the gypsy or fairy genre. :-)
I lurk a lot on Abe, Hob, but haven't posted on there for ages. You're correct in guessing that I am too busy at the moment. Both my daughters are revising and taking exams - one doing A levels the other GCSEs, so my computer is pretty much fully booked. I've been pretty busy with work too, as my bosse's daughter has been ill so I've been covering so she can take time off to be with her. I was tempted to make the London meet with Sleah, but sadly am having to work that day too. I've never been to an Abe meet and would have loved that. Never mind, I'm sure I'll make it one day.

How's things with you?

Re The Gone Away World, I wouldn't recommend it to my friends and only read it because it was a freebie fron Vine and I felt duty bound to write a review for them. I'd say give it a miss, Hob. :-)
Hi Hob, it's good to hear from you. :-)I have a review of The Gone Away World on LT. I rated it 3 stars but felt it was a little to convoluted for me. Are you thinking of reading it soon?
Hvor mye betalte du?
Har du lest serien "stephanie Plum" av Janet Evanovitch?
Bande Dessinee = tegne serie
Yes, I love Helene Hanff's books - for me they're 'comfort reading', that I grab when I'm too tired or ill for anything else.
We actually have more books in common, because there are some in your library that I haven't yet added to mine, even though I own them, because I haven't read them yet, and/or they actually belong to my daughter. (Who, by the way is lunacat on LT, but is only adding books as she reads them.)
Hi, HL. It was Muumi who asked about The Nargun and the Stars, as you can see below. Interesting to see that Teazle = Rabbleleader! We abers do get about! ;-)
I'm delighted that you've arrived on LT. One site at a time, indeed -- isn't it great! This site is one of my very favourites.

2manybooks is adding books at a great rate and is well up on my most-similar-libraries list, but right at the top of similarity and also adding books rapidly -- pushing 3000 now -- is Teazle (Rabbleleader on Abe) and she's making my library more similar to hers by offering all those irresistible bookswaps on ABE! (I also sent her a packet recently -- reciprocity.)

I haven't finished adding my books to LT. I slowed down with 6 bookcases to go. :P Work in progress!

Thanks for seeking me out. It's hard to know who's here already! Kehs, it was funny, I added a book and saw that someone named kehs had it and I sent an email wondering if it was her. When I added a Keyes book and saw the name Bicyclette also had it, it was equally fortuitous but I was quite sure that it must be the same (one and only) Bicyclette, there are so few Keyes fans!

Speaking of shared books - I see you have The Nargun and the Stars -- which I have but am planning to catalogue it only after I read it and decide if it's a keeper -- is it good?

Have fun on LT!
Hi Hobbit! This is a good site, isn't it? We redecorated the whole house this year, and I had a MEGA purge of my books. Once the remainder were all tidied up, I was able to face cataloguing them.
Hi, HL!

Yes, there are a couple more abebooks people whom I don't know quite as well (kehs and octobercountry) whom I haven't quite plucked up courage to approach. 'Lette and Twynnie were easy, of course - Twynnie is my D1, who lurks more often than she actually posts on abebooks, and 'Lette I have met many times now.

Now you can see why I'm 2manybooks - and there are still about a thousand books that I have catalogued on bookcat that do not have ISBNs and were therefore not amenable to mass imports, not to mention the fact that we have quite a few books that still aren't catalogued in bookcat!

I haven't checked out your library yet, but will do now that I know that you're there.

Cheers,

2manybooks
