O mnieFormer Editor and Writer. If I don't have a TBR pile by my bed, I can't sleep! I am the mom of three kids and often read to them at night, so some notable Children's selections will be on my list. Here is a quiz you can take to see what kind of a reader you are:

My original goal for the year was 100, but life interfered in August and September, so I've downgraded my goal to 85. Reading has always been my escape, so I don't want to lose my joy to pressure!

I have enjoyed logging my books in (not complete yet), making new friends and getting WAY too many book recommendations. I think LBT rocks!

O mojej biblioteceMy library is composed of books I have read. I have just started to make a wish list for books that I want to read. I don't differentiate between those I've borrowed or those I own, largely because most of my books are in boxes awaiting shelf space and I can't remember which ones they are! Sigh.

"Every book should begin with attractive endpapers," he had once told Meggie. "Preferably in a dark color: dark red or dark blue, depending on the binding. When you open the book it's like going to the theater. First you see the curtain. Then it's pulled aside and the show begins." Silvertongue/Mo from [Inkheart]

Kimmers! I am well, though as usual busy. I haven't gotten back in the LT groove yet, because I'm "auditioning" for a ghostwriting gig. I hope to know something by the beginning of January.

Holly Hippodays and Frabjous New Year, calloo callay!

The book will be sent next week. It really is a good one and I enjoyed it.

Hugs to you
Linda
Hi
Are you feeling better?

All good wishes for a wonderful holiday!
Hi, Kimberly, and thanks for leaving a post on my PP. I think Terri has already read (or maybe listened to) Their Eyes Were Watching God. I probably won't get to it until late January or so, but I'll put a post-it note in the book to notify you when I do read it so maybe we can swap some comments.

Sorry about your cracked ribs. Sounds painful. I hope the fam pitches in and helps with all the things we do at Christmas. Have a lovely holiday and keep in touch. ~Donna~
Hello there! Thanks for accepting the Friend Invite....i like your comments, too...Great Minds and all that.....my Pic? I found it on a Royalty-Free Photography website a few years ago....I did Not take it myself...i love the color..and the fact that i can see two chaps in a very awkward sword fight....going up & down the spiral stairs...dizzying, sure..but good for a laugh..i really have to go now..it's past my bedtime (unless i decide to make this a "stay awake" night)

J
All the best to you! All good wishes for a wonderful holiday!
Berly,

I am thrilled to be friends with you. That will seal our connection and pave the way for a RL meet-up in say.....Fargo, ND? LOL Wait that sounds familiar to me. I think that's my meet up with bonniebooks in the year 2020.;-) I enjoy your posts.
I just requested Friendship with you..given that we are both friends of Mark (msf59)..and that i am on the 75 Book Challenge..but am seriously over-challengeed..i am going to try to set up a 25 Book Challenge..

Hey, Kim! How are you doing? I'm going to start Inkheart tonight. Looks like you really liked it--5 stars! Did you read it with any of your kids?
Surgery went fine - came home the same day - a bit sore but only need ibuprofen - it was nice to sleep in my own bed with my husband and kitty instead of a hospital room with a stranger
Thanks for your note. Glad everything's going OK with you and your family.

My husband ended up getting an infection in his eye after the cataract surgery. Supposedly, that is very unusual. Anyway, it looks like it's almost cleared up and he's scheduled for the right eye surgery early in November. Keep your fingers crossed that there are no complications with that so we'll be able to go on our scheduled Rhine River Cruise at Thanksgiving time. If it doesn't heal properly we just won't go on vacation. His eyesight, of course, is much more important! Anyway, at our age we always buy travel insurance.

I just finished reading The Lost Mother by Mary McGarry Morris. It was an excellent book - - so good I got up twice during the night to read more. That's several of her books now that I've enjoyed, so I've added her name to my list of favorite authors.

Bye for now!
thank you - hopefully it'll be in thursday next week and home the next day
You can live your dreams if you can embrace change. It's by taking
chances that you'll learn how to be brave.
- Nikita Koloff

Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Your
vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is
the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil.
- James Allen, As A Man Thinketh

Have the courage to follow your dreams. It's the first step towards
attaining your destiny.

I just archived everything. :) No hard feelings! LOL
No More Smalling Up Of Me
Jean Wilson

No more meekly saying 'yes'
When my heart is screaming 'no'
No more taming of my feelings
So my power won’t show
No more hiding my exuberance
From disapproving eyes
No more watering down myself
So my spirit won't rise

No more 'smalling up' of me
Pretending I am not here
No more running from the music
And the spotlight's glare
No more living in this prison
Barricaded by my fears
No more turning and retreating
In the face of new frontiers

Even as I am speaking
I am taking shape and form
Harnessing my powers
Like a gathering storm
There's no obstacle so bold
As to dare stand in my way
I am taking back my life
And I am doing it today.
